That was fast. After the transaction is finalized, can you reveal the name of your mystery celebrity buyer?

Clearly you needed the quick sale of the BLUE car to make room for this -- it's red, it's a turbro, and it's for sale in Wichita KS: https://www.euroasianauto.com/details/u ... 4/86196143FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 12:39 pm I posted the laguna blue 914 for sale on 914world.com and Rennlist (dammit) at about 11:00 am this morning. Sold it about half an hour ago. To a well-known race car driver in Georgia (but not B3). Kind of cool.
Proud owner of a Flat6-powered 2002 996 Cab, 2016 GT4, 2019 Ford F-150 "Country Cadillac", and 2005 Ford Focus (not so hot hatch) daily driver. And a Wright ZTO 52" to keep several acres of grass-like substance neat and tidy!

For the record I have driven a 911 on a track and I was born in GA. I am also quite well known in my own mind.
Just saying...

Absolutely. But the guessing is fun.Einsteiger wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 12:42 pm That was fast. After the transaction is finalized, can you reveal the name of your mystery celebrity buyer?
He didn’t reveal his name until after the deal was done, and then it was only via his email address. I felt like a goof because before I figured out who he was, I was explaining that the performance headers were better than the stock heat exchangers. He just said “I know what headers are.” Once I put 2 and 2 together, he said that he would send me an autographed LeMans poster, which was very cool of him.

Ok, Frunk,
My wild-ass-guess is Jim Downing. Drove back in Camel GT days, nice guy, won Le Mans and hails from GA. But he’s older than Derrick Bell, so he’d be pushing 80. And he drove Mazdas. So maybe not. Unless he likes little hot rod chick magnet-mobiles.
