Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
One of these days I'll remember to keep my extra 996oupost stickers handy for when I'm out and about...

That's a rare spotting if it's a GT2 and not a tribute. I think the total production of 996 GT2's was about 1200 vehicles worldwide.
Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Nope it's the real deal.
After talking to the shop, the owner probably wouldn't find a warm welcome here (I'd ban his ass!). Bastard is the original owner and only has 5400 miles on it
It is apparently in the shop because he hasn't started it in yearS and it wouldn't start (apparently only needed a MAF sensor)
Porsche has all kinds of legalese about what you can't do with your new car in the contract. They need to add something so asshats like this lose the car for the abuse of not driving it!
Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
In other news, I have addressed my 996's oil leak by placing some cardboard on the garage floor under the engine.
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Just based on gnat's location (which of course is nowhere,) I'd be willing to bet genuine GT2.

Nice!
I probably shouldn't say this, I managed to drive my nice 996 Turbo a total of 346 miles last year . My POS 996 Turbo, I did 3000 miles and 11 track days though . So I won't be the one to throw stones. After talking to the shop, the owner probably wouldn't find a warm welcome here (I'd ban his ass!). Bastard is the original owner and only has 5400 miles on it

Porsche Breakfast, then Cars and Coffee at the auto museum with Santa. Thought we'd jazz things up a bit with the 914. We had a good turnout for Porsche Breakfast, including four 914s. It was cold (39 degrees at 7:00 am), but sunny, so it warmed up quite a bit later in the morning.
Tonight, we have our annual PCA Christmas Dinner. Since the Bride of FRUNKenstein is in Spain visiting family this week, it will be a Daddy-Daughter night out.

I thought 914's had a replaceable roof hatch and side windows that roll up. Am I wrong?
