I fixed my antique CNC bedmill Saturday so we can keep up with the orders that are coming in at the end of the year. I replaced an optocoupler and a 74LS373. The thing was made in 1989 and the electronics are all discrete logic - which is what I learned in college so I can actually fix this stuff. The main CPU is an 8086/8087 combo (PC/XT anyone?) and all the remote CPU's are 8031's. It has a card rack with six of these in it:

A) I'm shocked it still works.
B) I'm more shocked that you can still get replacements for some of those chips!
