For $300 I'd be surprised if it is actually Carbon Fiber. It's probably Fiberglass. It could be cool wall art until you finally buy an lawnmower.

Woot! New Porsche dealer going in 3 miles from my house!
That will be a massive time saver for the 4 times I have to take the P!g there over the next 6 years...
Hopefully it will make it easier to convince the wife to ditch her POS BMW for a Macan or Panny though.

GREAT! When/if you need the oil changed in the wife's 911 you can take it to the new dealer and lubed at the same time!gnat wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 11:14 am Woot! New Porsche dealer going in 3 miles from my house!

Actually for the 996 they aren't really any worse than my Indy (who is still about a mile closer and I'm lazy...). Now the P!g. THAT is a different story altogether, yet they seem utterly confused when I explain where they can stick their $700 oil change that they want to just suck out from the top rather than do a proper drain...32wildbilly wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 11:25 amGREAT! For $700 oil shouldn't be the only thing they are sucking for you.
Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Gonna start a prestige oil change place. Only $650.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
To be fair, $675 was the worst of the 5 "local" dealers.
The one I bought it from only wanted $575, the dealer that's been doing the few warranty items wanted $625, and the other 2 wanted $650
Local VW dealer did it for $125 but I had to supply the filter and reset the computer. Indy does it for $200. When I can be bothered to drive it to BFE WV I can DIY it for $100 plus an hour of mostly dicking around while the pan dips dry.
