...and there's always that chance that your recently purchased Tesla will go all torch boy on your ass!
Eh, I don't think that's too high a chance. An old 928 like I used to own is a match dipped in gasoline sitting next to a bonfire in comparison. Heck, the C in ICE stands for combustion, in addition to hauling around ATM and power steering fluid (if they're not the same liquid). WHOOSH!
Tesla's may not be built super great, but EVs do have a lot of advantages. No oil changes! Fill ups are $5! Fewer moving parts in general!

You're correct, Ocean. JUST. DON'T. CRASH.
(EDIT, here's a second video of a second Tesla exploding in case you don't want to chase the first link. Disclaimer: don't park OR crash your Tesla.)

...and if you get one be careful going over railroad tracks. Take off good. Flight good. Landing not so much!

Ready for a round of "Wouldn't it suck?"
My business partner picked up a brand new Giullia last Thursday afternoon...yesterday, someone backed into his driver door in a parking lot.

Last time my P!g was at the body shop it happened to be extremely windy day when we picked it up.
Wife opens the passenger door to put her purse in it just as a strong gust comes through and rips the door from her hand. Does no damage to the probably-didn't-really-pass-inspection POS next to it, but leaves a dent and paint mar where it hit the mirror.
As if that isn't enough, pulled out of the street the shop is on nose first into another bad gust of wind that kicked up a bunch of sand and debris from the road and left a bunch of nicks and scratches all over the bumper, hood, and fenders.
