Usually one jumps a car when it's battery can not provide enough to start the car...

It having sat for like 6 months without being driven might have something to do with that.
Ok then my question is : "Why you no drive the Beemer?"
I would not be upset if it spontaneously burst into flames.

I've tried offering her a new Macan/Panny/911 if she will just get rid of the damn thing. She has some irrational attachment to it :x :x :x

Apparently this is why the passenger tailpipe looked like it was about to fall off when I dropped it off

What the hell is that!? I've never seen one of those on my car!
Some exhaust related bolt.

Technically it still was. A good speed bump may have done it in, but it was still holding the exhaust together. Mostly.

How I'm not sure, but it was.

The first 1.5 months before I even took it in were supply issues as I didn't want to drop off the car until they had the new module.

Then the Indy couldn't get the new module to work so they took it to the Porsche dealer to try. PD fucked around and didn't get to it for a week then they decided the new module was bad and needed to be replaced. The following week they still hadn't ordered the replacement. The following week they said they ordered the replacement. The following week they said they hadn't ordered it. The following week they said it would be there Monday. The following week they said it would be there the next day. Then it finally really did show up and they apparently had to replace the keys after all. Then it got back to the Indy and they had another day of stuff to do which they took 2 for and then didn't let me know it was finally ready...

Oh wow, this is at a Porsche dealership?

I took it to my Indy. My Indy took it to the dealer when they couldn't get the module to play nice.

Apparently the dealer asked if they'd sell them the car too

So today ran a couple of errands using the 996. After about 10 minutes of driving was sitting at a stop light in neutral clutch out as I have been told is proper. When I noticed the cross light going yellow I clutched in and moved the shift lever to first...or so I thought. When I let the clutch out normally the transmission clunked and kicked the lever back to neutral. Sounded awful! Here's what happened: my mind was drifting while sitting there and my muscle memory shifted into first like I was in the Honda i.e.: much shorter smoother throw. The honda-type shift got me about halfway into first gear for the 996.

Lesson learned as I don't want to hear that noise again! Sounded like someone threw a brick at the back of the car.

Funny thing is I drove the 996 all over the place this weekend. I just need to pay attention to which car I'm driving...Dumb Ass.
