Must have been a dirty injector. Probably didn't need to replace the coil pack.

After 2 bottled of Redline Sl-1 and a bottle of Royle purple fuel system cleaner, the old bitch runs really well
EXCELLENT!

Today it was reinforced to me that assholes in tiny-penis trucks who deliberately cut off Porsches do not expect the guy who climbs out to be a 300-lb, 6'2" gorilla.

In other news, it remains a good thing that I do not have a concealed carry permit. Armed gorillas are the worst kind.

No vehicular contact right?

Superb!

FWIW, I try to run Chevron/Texaco, or in a pinch Exxon or Shell, gasoline whenever possible since their deposit control/cleanup additives are the best of the bunch. Running other companies' fuels and adding some Techron occasionally is second prize. This is true for my 996 and IMHO even more important for direct-injection vehicles like my GT4. Knock on wood, no injector issues in either vehicle -- the 996 is approaching 100K miles (noting that Jake worked his magic on its motor at 66K miles) and the GT4 is somewhere in 23K miles territory.

Very Nice - are you going to consider replacing them in near future? Might as well put an order in today so you can get some next year.

Nope. There potential for foot-to-butt contact, but that didn't happen either.

To paraphrase Jules from Pulp Fiction...I was trying, Ringo. I was trying real hard to be the shepherd.

I generally use Costco and Mobile. Mobile is often a little less $ with the 12 cent discount for using the Mobile CC. For the 1st 2 months, you get an addition 30 cents off too

LOL

The car runs noticeably better
I'm going to treat the Sl-1 like Franks Red Hot and put that shit in everything

Mobil and Exxon are one in the same -- different sides of the same coin. Ditto for Chevron and Texaco.

Costco fuels are "Top Tier" which suggests a better additive package than many retailers. I run Costco premium in my P-cars when I can but with the nearest Costco being 50 miles from my place, Chevron and Exxon/Mobil get their fair share of my business too.
