Just for your info. One of the first things I did after my indi got clocked in the head was install four new struts. I almost got decapitated by the hatch on my 93 Z way back when. I trust zero struts especially in the winter. Maybe I should purchase some solid platinum braces to stay within the expected snootiness of the brand.

Before I replaced the bonnet struts, I kept a telescoping monopod from my photography gear in the frunk to use until I got the replacements. Carbon fiber, of course.
