Just in case there are any "should just polish them" people out there, here is what they look like (and they've already been polished 3 times, the last only lasted 4 weeks)

Ok I owe you an apology. Tonight I had a soccer mom in a newer Honda SUV almost blind me coming up behind me in the Type R. LEDS are painful in the rear view mirror and thank GOD for whomever designed the flip down mirror. I believe she had the brights on and didn't know it but it was blinding. So I am sorry and you were right.

What an awesome technology: blind everyone coming toward you, and still put less light way down the road than you would with shitty halogen bulbs.

Those are bad! My car has an apparently replaced unit some time in the past and the other side has some hairline hazing but shit it looks new compared to those. It would look like driving with candles on the front of the car.

Mrs. S. and I do a _ton_ of driving up and down the mountain to Big Bear. When something with LED headlights rounds the curve coming toward you on an otherwise pitch-black road at night, it can suck.

Still not as bad as morons with purple HIDs...

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

:x :x :x FUCK ECS Tuning :x :x :x

So yesterday when I ordered the damn things they had a ship date of the middle of May. This morning I get a back ordered notice with a new estimate of September. Not going to fucking work with my state inspection expiring this month...

Now I've been on hold waiting to talk to someone for almost an hour. Of course they already charged me and took my money yesterday, so WTF would they want to talk to me for...

Gaudin Porsche Parts shows the 996-631-157-01 for $1700, ECS shows it for $2250.
I have always been able to call Gaudin and get an actual accurate shipping estimate. If the parts have to come from Germany, then it's 3 weeks no matter what.

Gnat, your "fried eggs" appear to now be poached eggs.

Or pooched. Whatever.

I don't know what the port situation looks like over on the other side of the country, but the line of cargo and container ships waiting to offload in Long Beach stretches all the way down to Huntington Beach some days. The pandemic has REALLY interfered with the port and cargo operations.
