I beg to differ. It was delivered from the factory with a "head unit" (engine), multiple speakers in the rear (tail pipes) and volume control (the gas pedal). Best sound system I know of for a car.

But in seriousness, nice job bodging together an inconspicuous system that should meet your "music" needs.

Replaced the Hella H4 halogen headlight units with replaceable bulbs with LED housings. Much brighter light and focused well. I bought 3 sets of these LED units off Amazon - one for the 914, X1/9 and 944 Turbo. Installed all 3 sets yesterday.

Fantastic. I haven't been to a car show in years. First covid now the infinitely prolonged maintenance work has not let me.

Thanks! I didn't stay at the show very long. It was the first year for this show - it was geared toward high school automotive technical program students, and the museum executive director asked me to bring a car out because he was concerned about turnout. I had about 5 events on the calendar on Saturday, but I squeezed the show in.

This one was kind of fun in that the idea was to get the kids' cars out, even if they weren't "show ready." For example, the Delorean in the background of my pics was a complete POS - it didn't even have an engine in it. But, hey, that's the whole point - to get conversations going and give encouragement to the younger generation of car enthusiasts. So, even though not a huge turnout (which is normal for the first year of a show), it was definitely a success.

Hope to see pics of your beast on display soon!

I got a project off my workbench. The passenger sun visor broke last fall, and the driver’s side already had a small cigarette burn. I ordered a new set last fall and finally got around to installing them today.
