I had hoped it would last until the end of the season. It didn't. The last lap of the first session last Monday I got low oil pressure and low coolant lights with 0 oil pressure on the gauge (not very accurate). It made it all the way to the pits. And that was that. I had to get it towed home. It's still sitting here, leaking some kind of fluid. Mind, we've had 10 inches of rain since I put it here.
These are Phenix Engineering rear upper control arms (dog bones) made right here in Massachusetts by my friend Noah. Very nice stuff.

Last night I made an expeditious repair to the fuel pump as I had not yet gotten the submersible fuel hose I needed (GATES 27093). Then, with some heebie-jeebies I set out on the 25 mile drive to the race shop. It was very dark, I had an "eyeball alignment", and I didn't want to be fixing the fuel pump, again, on the side of the highway.
I have to report the trip was a complete success. Despite now having monoball suspension throughout the car is not as harsh as I had expected. The NVH is a lot higher, which the track tires (NT01's) add to as well. But that's OK! Even with my "eyeball alignment" the car drove amazingly, super precise, fantastically accurate steering, and no clunking or banging. Since I really only use this car as a track car I'm satisfied. I do drive it to the track so I will have to be on watch for our massive potholes.
I can't wait to get it back from the race shop with the track alignment. The next track day is Tuesday - I hope it's ready!
