I'm reminded of changing a parking brake cable while laying in the snow with one side of my car driven up onto the tallest curb I could find. Back when I lived in Allston, of course.

Heh. I remember doing a "curb job" on my sister's Beetle back in the 80's...the muffler was rotted out, so I cut the bottom out of a Folgers can, snipped the side open, and wrapped the mess around the exhaust with baling wire. Our neighbors were unimpressed with the curbside repairs...

She totaled it a few weeks later, so...no reports on longevity of the repair.

You can take the hillbilly off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the hillbilly.

By "mess" I mean the concrete garage floor has giant pits in it and the previous owner covered this up with industrial carpeting, which keeps my jack from crabbing the way it should: dangerous. Ugh.

I just jump-started it with my mini jump pack because I'm an idiot and forgot to unplug the cigarette lighter adapter for my new dashcam.

I guess tomorrow I'll finish wiring it up to switched power...

Put the Maxflo's back on. I think the Super Cups are a bit too loud for me, but I will certainly miss the burbles and noises they made. :(

If things get that desperate I'll reach out. The order is with FCP so I imagine it will send eventually. Just glad I didn't pay for the 2-day shipping to wait 7 days for it to ship
