What’s on your Christmas wish list?

Post by FRUNKenstein » Mon Dec 13, 2021 6:38 pm

What are you asking for?
I got my wife to order me a set of foam race ramps for my 4 post lifts. Currently, I use a combo of steel ramps that came with the lift and then some wooden extensions that I built myself. They work fine, but for some reason, the steel ramps are a lot heavier now than they were when I bought the lifts 13 years ago. And I don’t think they’re gonna get any lighter.
These are the ones I am getting:

The only auto-related item is a Li-ion jump pack.

A friend of mine used his to help me when my GT4's battery decided to shit the bed in rural southern MO a couple of months ago, saving me from a 2+ hr wait for AAA. I won't be taking another extended/rural road trip without one, so either Santa or Santa's little helper (Visa/Mastercard) will be bringing me one!

The long-shot item on the list is to work out the logistics for a trip to the 24 hrs of Daytona before IMSA folds altogether.

I wanted a Porsche ornament for the tree. So one of my littles rummaged through my Cayenne parts bin and…

probably saved me $75! Gotta love it.

Best ornament on the tree because your "littles" found it.

I asked Ms. Schnelly Claus for an oxyacetylene rig, more grinders (because a grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't), and a chop saw.

I bought one of those jump-start power banks for Mrs. S's Jeep a while back (so when we finally do put the Grand Cherokee into a ravine, we'll still be able to charge our phones, I guess). I really wasn't expecting it to start a car - but a week or so after it rolled in, I heard a car in the grocery store lot with that telltale click. We whipped out the jump pack...and I ate crow as the car fired right up.

I am a believer; I now have one I swap between the 996 and the Corvette as well.

Nothing car related this year but I asked my wife for a new wallet - I like the Ridge front pocket wallet as I've been a front pocket carrier my whole life. Asked for one in the forged/crushed carbon like the new Lambrolinguini's

Also asked for the new Gen4 Sony noise cancelling earbuds. I got these early so I could take with me to the gym and they RULE. I'm pretty sensitive about sound quality and I was very hesitant to get these over cans but I'm happy I did. Great buds if you're shopping.

I got a knock-off Ridge wallet in carbon fiber about 6 months ago. I really like it. It forces you to keep just the essentials and is nice and compact.
