In all seriousness if the 996 isn't doing it for you any more you should sell it. You are in a difficult situation with your wife not wanting to ride in the car, so you can't even take a trip in it. That does not help. You could schedule a 996 week where you drive the 996 on all your errands etc. instead of your Honda. I have to do this or my cars would sit unused, quite literally for years. I haven't driven my 280Z in 7 years and it sat so long now it needs all the brake hydraulics replaced.

I wouldn't have any hesitation in auto-x in the 996. I presume it has only a few thousand miles since it was rebuilt. What we have found with the oil pressure problems is that they occur in higher mileage engines and at higher oil temperatures. An auto-x course isn't long enough to get the oil hot. Jason's 996 - the guy who has the datalogging equipment - has 90k miles on the original engine. Several other friends have 996's with less than 20k miles and do not see oil pressure problems at all.

If you can make it work time & money wise I think the UAOS would be the way to go as it's a lifetime part and the vacuum diaphragm is right there, easy to replace when needed. Even Raby puts them on his new engines so it must be good.

Of course I give terrible advice, as I have 7 cars and a 3 mile commute.

Thanks. I appreciate your thoughts and ideas. Definitely going to go with the UAOS just waiting for my Indi to get back with me to see if they want to take the job on. I'm too old(72 on Sunday) to do that job. My back would not love it and my hands and arms would bleed for a week. I'm one of those people who end up cutting myself just opening the hood! Deep as I get these days are simple/quick stuff like oil changes.

Disappointed you didn't bid $10,000.02 though...😜

$11K. I'll wire it today.

The longer you keep it, the more it will be worth...so there's that.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Eggzackery! However the contestants bump the bid by $1.00 not $0.01. So he's being cheap.

BTW The Price is Right is my wife's favorite daytime show...😬
