My flights are already changed and are dramatically different. I was going to arrive at 4p, now I arrive at...drumroll 6a. Suggestions for breakfast Frunky?

I was also going to depart in the early evening on Sunday but now it looks like I'm leaving 7a instead. Woot. All-nighter.

Considering I purchased these tickets 3 days ago and my itinerary is already dramatically different; I'm anticipating making this update multiple times.

That's today's Spiriting away.
Spirit 2nd worst airline in the US only surpassed by Frontier.

That's gonna be an experience.
Never gonna make you cry...

Suggested attire: Creative Cocktail

Well la de frickin da!

Seriously?? Would cargo shorts and an Outpost tee shirt qualify for "suggested attire"?

Absolutely! Wear whatever you want - it definitely isn’t formal attire. We aren’t stuffy - car guys aren’t going to wear a suit and tie even to their own funeral.

OK, after 02 sent me a PM asking about an itinerary for the weekend, I put together a proposed itinerary that we can absolutely deviate from:

Friday night: Meet up on The Plaza, in midtown Kansas City for dinner and bar hopping. Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse that's great, but there are many other good choices there to eat. Then, we can walk around and have a drink at several different bars with outdoor patios. The Crossroads (hotel location) is a short Uber ride away if necessary.

Saturday:
7:00 am meet at Pegah's Restaurant in Lenexa for KCRPCA breakfast
9:00 am depart KCRPCA breakfast for a private tour of the Kansas City Automotive Museum in Olathe (10 minute drive)
10:00 am depart Kansas City Automotive Museum for The Underground in The Crossroads (20 minute drive). We need to hand over 3 of the Hooptie Fleet to be used for the Saturday evening event car display. We can walk around The Underground to look at the 370 exotics & classics on display in storage there, along with vintage neon and other displays
11:20 am depart The Underground for a one-hour scenic fun run to Pyrtle Winery in downtown Weston, Missouri (a small historic town).
12:20 pm We will have lunch at one of many restaurants in Weston and stroll the downtown shops.
2:05 pm depart Weston for a 45 minute drive to the National WWI Museum & Memorial in The Crossroads of Kansas City.
2:50 pm to 4:20 pm tour the National WWI Museum
4:20 pm leave WWI Museum for short walk or re-parking at Kansas City Union Station & Hallmark Crown Center entertainment districts.
4:30 pm to 5:30 pm tour Union Station & Crown Center. Then depart for short drive/walk to the hotel (just a few blocks away)
6:00 pm to 10:00 pm The Car Affair event at The Underground
10:00 pm If anyone is still up for it, head out to one of the local casinos that are a short Uber ride away

Sunday:
Breakfast and tour other local sites on your own (unless someone wants to plan something) and depart on your schedule

I am not going to sleep on this trip LOL

As of right now it looks like I'm going to be gone very early Sunday morning but I'm going to prepare my mind, body, and soul for 48 hours of mayhem.

Thanks for putting this killer itinerary together Frunky, my excitement level can't get higher but seeing this has me stoked once again.

It should be a great time in KC that weekend. The weather is generally beautiful, and there is a lot going on! Hope to get a few more folks to come out and join me, Doc and 02!

If I show up, I'ma need a 996.

A clapped-out, tracked-out Turbro would probably be sufficient.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Any chance you have time to meet up for a quick beer or lunch to talk about it when I’m in San Diego next week? We arrive on 3/7, but going to see Mickey on 3/8. I’m pretty open from Monday, 3/11 through Friday 3/15 - will just be hanging out, staying at North Island. I could get out Saturday morning if there’s anything interesting going on, but I didn’t see much on the SDRPCA calendar other than some kind of off-road thing up in the mountains. I doubt if the rental car company would be very pleased if I participated in that.

I can sleep in Frunky's Turbro...

I'll be around all week, Mr. Curator. I'll shoot you a PM.
