I had finally forgiven him for that you insensitive jerk!

I just noticed the ad says car has 166,000 miles! Holy Sh!t! I thought all the cars self destructed at 85,000. How can this be true? That has to be a misprint...right?FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 11:35 am Well, it looks like my old ‘99 C4 aero is up for sale again, but this time the asking price has risen from $16,500 (last summer) to $19,999.

So, I guess a flipper bought it. As a data point, I paid $18,000 for it in 2013 and sold it 2 years, 15,000 miles and a hail damage claim (repaired) later for $15,750. Since I netted over $2,000 on the hail damage claim (thanks to my buddy at “The Dent Team”) and had minimal maintenance costs and sold it without trying, I felt pretty happy about the deal.

It being a '99 model is a testament to the build quality and it seems there are a lot of the early model 996 cars with more than 150K+ miles. I wish I could say the same for the mk2 M96 cars. Guess it sucks being Porsche knowing you had a pretty darn good bearing in the '99 model only to shoot yourself in the foot with the single row.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 4:59 pmI just noticed the ad says car has 166,000 miles! Well, my forum friend probably could have bought that car for $15,000 or less last summer, and I would have even delivered it to him for free since my son works right next door to him.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 12:17 pmSo this is the infamous car you were supposed to offer to a forum friend that you didn't...right?FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 11:35 am Well, it looks like my old ‘99 C4 aero is up for sale again, but this time the asking price has risen from $16,500 (last summer) to $19,999.

See! Told you there was still some unresolved hostility over the car. The tension was palatable. It is a pretty car though.
