Many people have elected to save tons of cash building tbeir own IMSB replacement at home. Krazy idea, I know. But, do it, sell the car with the ad stating IMSB replaced, and reap the sweet rewards.
If i wasn't posting from my phone, i could post a useful link. But i am, so i can't.

KrazyK ideas just aren’t usually appreciated in their own time. Years from now the do it yourself home built IMSB will be a value add.

I think this process should be memorialized with its own product name. How about "Da Solution"?

This is great information, with all the $$$ saved one could gold plate all the old parts.
I few other things I've learned on the internet,
- Gutter guard and cable ties will keep debris out of the radiators.
- Kitchen utensils are useful for increased aero
- ZipLoc bags can keep a phone out of an air intake
