Yep. I have all that stuff. Not sure i will bother. For the expense and hassle of swapping the exhast, what am i getting? Maybe a thousand or two plus the hassle. Not sure, might do the swap though. No point in taking out the infotainment system, since what would i do with it? Spent $2k installing it. Wheels are great, but i dont have any crap ones to swap in.

The motor only has about 35k miles on it.

Prolly just time to have it hauled off and scrapped.

I know you're doing okay with it financially, but it kills me to hear that it's going to be scrapped. Ugh.

Should prop 10 pass, something tells me that there will be a lot of people looking to dump a lot of CRE in your area of the woods, and not just MF type.
Yeah. Been working my butt off to pay for these toys. Worth it, IMHO.

Just got off phone with insurance. I'll get $28,906.84 for my car. Not bad for a 150k mile tiptronic.
I think you could more for it on BaT.

I spoke to the 991 seller today. Going to look at the car next week. Should I get the IMSB swapped out?

wow.. this changed quickly. from $23k to $28k and now to $33k.. this has got to be the best price ever for a 150k mile 996 tip.

super hard decision.. shame you can't just pay somebody $100.00 to swap in the old exhaust components and keep the FabSpeed stuff for other sales.. shame to just scrap several thousands in custom stainless steel (even if it is horribly overpriced when new, it's nice stuff). Not like it has to even run, just has to be on the car. that way you don't need to take the time.

that 991 is sweet though.

tough times eh.. :?

Yes, yes. Now I do.

Cuda911 wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 10:24 am Do you think they might negotiate on buy back price?

Zero time or interest in parting it. So, either take the cash and find a new car, or buy back and fix on the cheap.
You could always offer them less on the buy back as it would solve their problem of going through a reclaimer deal; they may take it to get it off their books quicker. My question is what do you want to do and end up with? Buy back then spend $$ and waiting time to get it fixed then always have a repaired car or take the $$ and run to another car you could love. Do you love the car or could you love a different one as well. Regardless of all the "expert" opinions you will get it comes down to your comfort level and what YOU want. Good luck with your decision...glad it's not me. Assume physically you are now fine?
Was going back through the thread and saw this. Loved your commment about loving my car, but learning to love another. Looking forward to my 991.
