Tesla on Autopilot slams into police cruiser, driver claims he was checking on his dog
ABC News
Police had been called to the highway because of a disabled vehicle that was occupying a lane, authorities said.
As troopers were waiting for a tow truck for that car, the Tesla, described as a 2018 Model 3, was traveling northbound and struck the rear of the cruiser before continuing in the same direction and hitting the disabled vehicle, according to authorities.
That ain't going to buff out...

Well... He is a liberal from CT, so sounds accurate. Ban all self driving cars!

You do know that if this guy is from CT there is a 40.93% chance that he voted for trump in 2016 and is not a liberal...right? However, I do agree with you on self driving cars...

Tesla ownership makes that very unlikely. Trump voter with a dog would have a pickup truck, and
would be riding in the bed.

Yeah, you're probably right. Not only room for the the dog but also including "the Easy Rider Rifle Rack with room for not one, not two, but three of your favorite rifles."

I saw this on the news tonight too. The police had zero sense of humor - charged the guy with reckless operation and reckless endangerment. Wonder if Tesla covers his legal bills under the warranty.
The human driver is too stupid for me to care about but I am concerned about his dog...

I think the front end of the Model 3 looks better after the wreck.

I thought for sure this was going to be referencing the incident this weekend where Elon himself ran over the "Right Turns Only" sign as he turned left into Malibu traffic.
