b3freak wrote: Sun Jun 24, 2018 7:46 am I tried to see if the car had any washer fluid in it, but not surprised, it was empty.
Schnelly, it wouldn't surprise me if the bulb is out or been removed by the "glue guys". :(

Aw Hell naw! Now what? You gonna do the "bake it and disassemble" the lens? Which appears to be a huge pain in the buttocks!

What you do with your headlight housings in the privacy of your own garage is none of our business.

Re: UPDATE - Harman Becker System

As you all know from reading this thread, I've spent a great deal of time returning the car's stereo system back to OEM. I removed the previous owner's Pioneer headunit, cleaned up all the glue, and repaired all the spliced cables. I then installed an original Harman 6x40W amp in the frunk and CDR-220 (given to me by Schnelly). After testing the system, I noticed distortion and figured it had to be the old paper cone HAES speakers and so I decided to replace all the speakers in the dash, door, and rear locations.

After much frustration with getting the correct polarity, I successfully installed the speakers; but unfortunately, the newer speakers exhibited low bass clipping. Normally, my gut feeling is the amp was going bad, but after testing with another Harman amp, I've come to the conclusion that the CDR-220 could be clipping the bass range in the pre-amp signals. This problem is rare, but from my limited research, it's not totally uncommon for the pre-amp outputs to produce increased distortion as the head-unit ages. Just like anything electronic, in time it will age and malfunction. I still have my new Blaupunkt and plan to use a wire harness to test the system, if it's clean, then I'll know conclusively the CDR-220 is the culprit.

Stay tuned!
