Separate category for "wheels & tires"??

Post by Einsteiger » Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:17 pm

After trying a lengthy search for a coule of comments about selecting tires for summer / winter and not finding what I had remembered reading, I just wanted to suggest, going forward, a separate forum category for wheels/tires/suspension. So much of the good stuff gets scattered through the other threads that it's just hard to find.

Just a thought. Thanks for your time.

After thinking about this, 996 Outpost really does not need a separate forum spot for this, inasmuch as R/L has a Wheel & Tire and a Performance Modification forum for finding info on tire reviews, what fits, etc. Anything posted would likely come from, or overlap with, that other forum. [R/L]

Heh. Still not a bad idea - we're looking to reshuffle the categories here anyway.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

What this forum really needs is a dedicated oil sub forum!

Now that my new glasses are in, I realized that there is already a tire thread in the "non-aspirated" part of the forum. Yeesh. A big never-mind on a new category.

The turbo people can just come into the NA side of the forum for tire knowledge. :)
