5chn3ll wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2020 1:50 pm Sorry I didn't see this sooner. The split sockets for pulling O2 sensors have never worked worth crap for me. I use a telescoping basin wrench on oxygen sensors - works like a charm every time. The harder you crank on it, the better the jaws bite. Absolutely kicks ass over every other tool I've tried for stuck oxygen sensors...no PB Blaster required.

Proper tool for the job...sink or Porsches...same.
Maybe post that up in the "Tools" thread. I've never seen a tool like that.

Apparently you call 1-800-callaplumber every time your sinks need repair!

Schnell what is the danger factor for applying too much force with a tool like that? It looks like it's similar to my massive impact gun. It's coming off - or going in - one way, or another.

Haven't busted a sensor off yet. I've used it for the cat swap on my 986, the repeated cat swaps on the 996, and several times on the Corvette without damaging a sensor or rounding one off...and the swivel on the jaw makes it pretty handy for in-situ adjustments where it's not possible to use a wrench or a ratchet. It's also great for getting the EGR fittings out of Corvette headers without crushing the EGR piping.

I've only used it once for tightening a faucet - but it seems to work nicely for that purpose as well. :D

Actually was serious. I'm going to go buy one tonight and go around looking for shit to try it on.

After I take delivery of my "new-to-me" 914, that is!

Well, OK, but it's just going to be me wandering around Harbor Freight with a confused look on my face.

Buy one at Home Depot - the welds are less likely to fail.
