You are not so lucky. What are you doing this weekend? I am shooting videos on bore scoring, and I need to use your car. It may be a better example than the one I have here now. Maybe we can scope it and check it out at the same time.
Don't be like that dingus out west that totally pissed away a similar offer from Jake to help with his engine!

Congratulations! I guess you won the tailpipe contest? Or was the "Loser" really the winner?? With Raby's offer, I consider myself a winner at this point. At least I'll know my next steps.OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:29 amWow, good news from the man himself. This is a nice start to the day. It's an early-build (I believe) 2000. Yours look fine... That looks like a left over '99 car with those small tailpipes.. These are usually great engines, if its the original. I see some 2000 models like this from time to time.
B3,

Yeah anytime you are getting an offer like that from Jake I'd say you're a winnerb3freak wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:40 amCongratulations! I guess you won the tailpipe contest? Hey man, I wish we both would have "won." Or lost, as the case may be. Good luck. Hopefully Raby doesn't find anything video-worthy.b3freak wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:40 amCongratulations! Yeah it was a few years ago on Rennlist (dammit). Other than that the guy was a Doctor I forget the specifics of the problem, but basically Jake diagnosed the problem and kept telling him what to do and they guy pretty much always did the opposite. Jake was flying out to teach a class with Tony and offered for the guy to bring his car in and they'd use it as the model for the class. Dip shit totally spaced and disappeared

Remember, this is where 996s come to die... Well, at least to die, and be resurrected.
I'll get with my video helper and see what time we need you here.
If you get pissed off at the car, i'll let you run it over with my Sultan if you want.
