Adhesive? Suggestion
Re: Adhesive? Suggestion
3M makes body trim / body panel adhesive - it's what body shops use to stick things like side skirts and other trim pieces. Less permanent than JB Weld, but sticks until you need it to not be.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

3M VHB is super awesome stuff, but if he uses this, there will be a ~1/8" step from where the handle transitions to the key hole trim.5chn3ll wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 11:03 pm 3M makes body trim / body panel adhesive - it's what body shops use to stick things like side skirts and other trim pieces. Yeah, I have some of that for when we added LED strips to the RV awning; it's too thick for this application. I threw some glycotennialcelebration on it. Upon closer examination there is a little tab where it clicked into place that has clearly broken off leading to it being separable in the first place; if it goes missing again I'll get the new part but the 13 seconds it took to super glue it in place is worth a shot.sweet victory wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:41 am3M VHB is super awesome stuff, but if he uses this, there will be a ~1/8" step from where the handle transitions to the key hole trim.5chn3ll wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 11:03 pm 3M makes body trim / body panel adhesive - it's what body shops use to stick things like side skirts and other trim pieces. Re: Adhesive? Suggestion
The 3M adhesive stretches; if you hit it with a heat gun or blow-drier, you can stretch it out 2-3x its original size.
It's high-quality multi-purpose shit, that tape.

Yeah, DT probably won't answer for a while. My guess is he is still stuck to the Ramada.
