Starlink works great until the cats find out that the dish gives off a little heat on cold days.

My Pinewood Derby experience memories were of my pops saying "Oh, sorry, I'm not allowed to help you." and me finishing last with my sanded, painted brick of wood with wheels on it.

Unfortunately, no although I don't think there could have been any more chaos at that thing if it had. Wonder if there are any rules against pyrotechnics.FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:53 amDid it catch on fire halfway down the track?OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 8:17 am and the boy wanted it in the shape of my old 928. My dad helped, but pre-Internet everyone but us seemed to understand what made a fast car. Which is exactly the reason I got so involved. I've got the video of my kid's reaction to winning his first heat somewheres.Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 12:04 pmOceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 8:17 am

Well fuck!
Went to see if it had some how rolled down, but battery is acting as if it doesn't exist and I can't even pop the frunk.
And of course on a Sunday with 1-3" of snow/rain/ice coming over the next 12 hours...
Took the dog out this morning and found the passenger window missing. Not broken mind you, just not there. It was there as late as yesterday and neither of us have messed with the car recently.

Suddenly I feel like my 996 is far less janky than I thought it was.

Yeah the little post in the foot well to jump the frunk latch is a lot less cool than I thought it was 20 years ago. Wonder if a retrofit to the original manual style is possible/reasonable.

Both sides!!?? That's just weird. Were the doors unlocked when you found it? Maybe someone figured out how to force the window down, open the door, pop the frunk and "Somebody" stole yur battree. We all know you have a solar panel or did that come out for the winter?

In other news, the "we need to cut a small hole in your ceiling to fix the leak" has turned into "we're gonna gut the whole f**king bathroom."
