Re: Flying Ducktail...
all good suggestions on improving the handling. there are stock sways on my 99 C2 and stock endlinks. Been meaning to upgrade both.
the rear wing is non adjustable, the wing and decklid is all one piece bolted to the stock decklid base..no downforce tuning there.
Bilstein HD shocks and H&R Sport springs on the car. She doesn't sit very low, so I may search out another setup to lose another 1/4" in height or so. this car is a daily, so it needs to stay functional for the crappy roads around here.
i'm sure the rear wing works for downforce, I can feel it pulling the back end down as speed increases..just need to get some splitting going on out front to divert the pressure over the car not under. Considering looking into Joe Toth Composites for the front lip and diveplanes, but it is pretty pronounced and low.
All the underpanels are in place except one under the middle just before the engine on one side.
i'm getting to like the looks of the car more and more.. so what its not perfect, plenty of stone chips and scratches but that just means it has been enjoyed.. I kinda like my ratty GT3 look after all, and I can always clean it up

The Joe Toth items are great. I run his front splitter on my 996 Turbo bumper, it really helps above 50mph grip in the front.EPiK wrote: ↑Wed Apr 18, 2018 11:02 pm all good suggestions on improving the handling. there are stock sways on my 99 C2 and stock endlinks. Been meaning to upgrade both.

Re: Flying Ducktail...
I need to show those crash pics to my wife to justify spending the money on a genuine Mk.2 aero kit. (In my mind, rationality went out the door $10,000 ago, so bring it.)
Though when I show her the price of the aero kit, she'll probably say "Crash it."
P.S. You can't see in my avatar but I'm missing the front bumper. ElSchnell knows the rest of the story, and that's exactly why I suspect the genuineness of my side skirts, too.
