Blutooth Doodle for Cigarette Lighter
I got an alert on Slickdeals to a doodle that plugs into your cigarette lighter and allows you to connect the phone to the stereo through its own radio transmission. For $7, I paid for the doodle to see if it would work on my Acura.
I checked the web sites for open radio frequencies in Phoenix and set the doodle to that frequency. So far it is a pretty neat device. I have taken a few calls and people said that I was coming through just fine.
For the guys who don't want to replace the factory stereos this is a neat solution.
Doodle plugged in and radio set to same frequency.

Re: Blutooth Doodle for Cigarette Lighter
This is what I used on my trip back after I bought my car. It's a little inconvenient, but otherwise a nice cheap way to play music and nav from your phone.
Eventually, I added a Bluetooth receiver to the radio. The toughest part of this job was getting the stereo out. The only issue is that is uses the CD/AUX connection, which means when the Bluetooth is connected the CD player doesn't work. Turning off the Bluetooth on my phone makes the CD work again.

I too have one of these and like it, however, I don't call it a doodle.

I've always had crap luck with RF modulators, even powered in-line versions that are supposed to suck less. The one in the storage bucket in the Corvette is wireless (RF to the car, bluetooth to the phone) - and it works far worse than the Radio Shack cassette adapter...
If you don't hate it after a couple of weeks, post a follow-up. I've never had one that didn't receive random garbage at every radar antenna and cell tower.

I loved those tape things but the current state of cell phones is no 3.5mm jack.

Keeping my GalaxyTab 8 until it won't chooch no more - but there are backup plans for those of you with New Apple Hotness (if you're an Android fan, just squint at the picture and pretend the cable is black).

Sir Jony Ive has not aged well, but I see he's still rocking the OBE (Orthodontics of British Envisage)...

Also have a Bluetooth “doodle” that I picked up on Amazon for ~$14 or so. Used it in the Porsche until I did a double-din conversion, now the thing is in our Jeep. Works OK for the price. Eventually I will do a double-din in the Jeep too, but don’t drive it enough to mess with for now. Phone calls are acceptable (barely) but it actually plays streaming music pretty well.
