You need to pick up a C4 Corvette - the tax man will probably start sending YOU money every year.
As an aside, that use tax stuff pisses me off. How is paying excise tax on something you paid sales tax for - and pay to register annually - not double/triple taxation? (disclaimer: I'm currently preparing my CA state property tax statement for my business - where I have to pay taxes for all of the shit I paid sales tax on when I originally bought it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.)

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Isn't that pretty close to why Boston harbor tasted like Earl Grey tea a while back?

I had a 78 280Z. Blew the tranny out and put in a 79 280zx 5 speed in it. It was a fun car in the day. They are worth a hell of a lot more $961!!theprf wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 12:35 pm I got the 2022 state excise tax (use tax) for my fleet of cars. The '03 Turbo is valued at $11,620.00 by the state of MA so I owe $290.50. Almost incredibly my rustbucket '93 VW is valued at $2287.00 and my 1978 Datsun Z-car is valued at $961.00. I am quite happy the tax collector isn't paying attention to bring a trailer.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Before I sold my 93 300ZX I was in a Z Car club and all the later model owners were always whining that the 240-260-280 cars were worth more than their cars. The government apparently just keeps devaluating a car based on some spread sheet that starts with the new value and reduces a certain percentage per year. About the best process that I've ever seen accountants come up with...JayG wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 1:49 pmI had a 78 280Z. Blew the tranny out and put in a 79 280zx 5 speed in it. The 280 hasn't seen the astounding price increases like the 240 has - yet. Once everyone is priced out of the 240Z's they'll find the 280Z is a far better car in every way.

Dude…as a new Texan, you might want to keep that on the dl.

Ol' Slakker has shown back up on RL for a time. Hasn't been around in the last two month. But still alive and breathing. ha!
